Biography
Linira Ghazali is a lecturer at the Faculty of Language Studies & Human Development (FBI), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK). She obtained her first degree in TESL from the University of Malaya in 1997. Upon graduation, she began her first career as a lecturer at the Baitulmal Professional Institute (IPB), Kuala Lumpur from 1997-1999. Later, she was offered a position as a Senior Executive Officer with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), where she served until 2004. Later, she returned to her hometown in Kota Bharu, Kelantan to teach diploma students at the PTPL Center, now known as the MSU College. She joined UMK in 2007 during the establishment of the university, making her one of the pioneers of the university’s academic staff. Her areas of interest are in Social Linguistics, Interpersonal Communication Skills and Computed Mediated Communication (CMC). Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in the field of Communication.
