Abstract:
Waste associated with waste management techniques in the food industry has recently raised environmental concerns in society, especially among food hawkers. Numerous researchers have drawn attention to the problem, and many recommendations have been made to enhance sustainability with regard to the natural world. Since then, food packaging waste has been identified as the leading cause of waste. In order to ensure good management practices among food hawkers and thus lower environmental pollution, environmentally friendly food packaging (EFFP) has been introduced. Along with several marketing and initiatives, the government has worked with nongovernmental organisations to increase public awareness of environmentally friendly food packaging (EFFP). However, there is currently a lack of EFFP adoption among food vendors. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to ascertain how food hackers behave towards EFFP. Utilising questionnaires, the information from the neighbourhood food vendors will be gathered. Using IBM-AMOS, the structural equation modelling was then used to investigate associated assumptions (analysis of a moment structure). Based on the study, it was anticipated that the intention to use EFFP would be greatly influenced by attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control.
