Abstract

Mobile apps are the most useful tools for a traveler to book flights and hotels, plan a traveling itinerary or even guide to travel green. Thus, this chapter explores the various type of mobile apps that is suitable to be used by eco-friendly travelers. an extensive review has been made and presented through the four subtopics in this chapter. The following subtopics are (i) The mobile application development in tourism (ii) Usage of mobile apps among travelers (iii) Mobile apps for ecotourists (iv) Conclusion. This chapter will contribute to the existing knowledge on information technology used in ecotourism and highlight the potential of mobile apps in ecotourism.
