Visiting spa and health tourism centers is a new social trend amongst health tourists throughout Malaysia. Facts confirm that the number of spas and health centers is increasing from year to year and practices towards a healthy lifestyle are accepted worldwide. Individual health and well-being concerns are one of the critical factors contributing to the replacement of the spa and health industries. This chapter aims to examine the literature on the factors that influence the motivation of tourists to visit spa and health tourism destinations. Literature reviews indicate that there will be a positive relationship between relaxation and relief, health and beauty, escape and self-development with travel motivation among tourists. The results of this study are expected to fill the gap in the literature by expanding the existing literature knowledge on Spa motivation and to educate the public knowledge and delivery of professional services.en_US
