dc.description.abstractThere were many reasons why challenges happened around the sellers of SME business. The main purpose of this study was to identify the challenges of small-medium enterprises in cottage industries in Kota Bharu. Based on this study, there were literally four challenges of cottage industries in the SME business. The challenges in this study were the growth challenges in human resources, lack of operation management, financial deficiencies and lack in market power. In this study, face to face interview session was conducted and focused on business owners to obtain more information on what challenges they faced while running a small-medium enterprise (SME) business. The thematic content analysis was used to analyse the interview data. The analyse data suggested themes reflect these challenges.en_US
