The utilization of digital technology within circular economy practices has ushered in transformative changes in sustainability and resource management on a global scale. This bibliometric analysis illuminates the evolving research trends at the nexus of digital technology and circular economy principles. It investigates the progression of research, core thematic domains, influential authors, and the dissemination of knowledge worldwide, with a particular focus on its relevance to lower-income groups. Scholarly attention dedicated to the integration of digital technology and circular economy concepts has witnessed a remarkable surge, aligning with the escalating urgency to tackle environmental challenges and resource scarcity. Over the past decade, the volume of published works by international researchers has grown substantially, reflecting the growing recognition of the potential for digital solutions to address these critical issues. Thematic analysis within this field encompasses areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics, all contributing to enhanced resource utilization, waste reduction, and product sustainability. Furthermore, research endeavors increasingly emphasize the social impact of digital-circular initiatives and their implications for lower-income communities. The examination of global research patterns reveals that digital technology in circular economy practices is a subject of interest in both developed and emerging economies. While research in the United States and Europe continues to dominate, Asian countries are making significant strides, propelled by their investments in sustainable technology solutions. This underscores a vibrant and interdependent global research community committed to advancing knowledge and fostering innovation in this domain. It underscores the significance of technology in promoting sustainable resource management.
