Issue Date: | 16-Apr-2024 | Publisher: | Taylor and Francis | Abstract: | Halal supply chain management mainly concentrated on the rapidly expanding Islamic community around the world. Customers understand the advantages of enjoying halal goods and services. However, they may be unaware of the process of product and service management. Halal products and services include not only the making process but also all actions in the supply chain management, such as warehousing, transportation, storage, and management. The manufacturing and structured procedure of halal supply chain management is essential because the complex, disorderly process and prolonged supply chain management might put halal products and services at a greater possibility of contamination. The research emphasizes the idea of halal supply chain management and the issues that arise as a result of a better understanding of logistics and supply chain management procedures. This study has mainly elaborated the review of literature related to halal logistics services, Shari’ah principles of halal supply chain management, concepts and their importance, challenges, and strategies. This research adds to the field of learning by developing halal supply chain management concepts and implementing them, which could serve as a guidance for supply chain management professionals. |
