dc.description.abstractThis paper explores the current status and development of reform in music education at universities in the new era. After thoroughly analyzing the background and issues of music education in universities both domestically and internationally, (Hickey, 2009) the paper summarizes advanced experiences in music education, including innovative practices such as diversified curriculum design, practice-oriented education, personalized teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Subsequently, the paper proposes future trends in music education, including the application of educational technology, interdisciplinary education, and the integration of arts and society. Finally, the paper emphasizes the importance and necessity of reform in university music education, and puts forward directions for future research and policy suggestions to promote the integration and development of music education with society.
