This study aims to analyse food waste management between the US and EU based on the best practical technology suitable to be applied into Malaysian scenario and to investigate the best practices to be adopted into Malaysia in terms of food waste management aspect. In this research, comparative analysis and thematic analysis were adopted using secondary data from policy, law documents and annual report documents from respective official government websites available online. The finding reveals that food waste in Malaysia is possibly to be managed effectively through technology application together with legislations. Best practices can be adopted from both case study areas since they are more developed in terms of technology advancement as well share similarities in terms of legislations which are suitable for Malaysia. |
