Cultural identity plays a pivotal role in linguistic research, offering profound insights into the subject of investigation. Psychopragmatics, as a linguistic analytical method, delves into the psychological aspects of individual language use. This article employs psychopragmatics analysis to explore the investigation of cultural identity, with a specific focus on the Minangkabau culture as a case study. The selection of pertinent literature followed a comprehensive review process, enriching the depth of analysis. The findings highlight a significant revelation- a speaker's act of self-identification substantially influences the cognitive processes and perspectives of the listener. This interplay underscores the dynamic relationship between personal linguistic expressions and the intricate tapestry of cultural assimilation.
