Abstract:
This study was conducted to examine the motivating factors in ecotourism participation. Ecotourism is described as traveling to relatively untouched natural places with the purpose of studying, appreciating, and enjoying the beauty of the wild creatures and plants that inhabit there. This study aims to examine the relationship between interpersonal relationships, attitudes, infrastructures, and diversity toward tourists’ motivation in ecotourism participation. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researchers used a quantitative method to get more detailed information. A questionnaire was used in data collection to discover the respondents' knowledge, opinions, and experiences regarding their motivation in ecotourism participation, which is distributed using social media platforms. The data was then analyzed with descriptive statistics, reliability and validity tests, and Pearson Correlation. Thus, this study will expand further knowledge on factors that motivate tourists to participate in ecotourism activities.
