Title: | Microstructure, Physical and Strength Properties of Oil Palm Fronds Composite Boards from Elaeis guineensis | Authors: | Razak Wahab Rasat M.S.M. Rashidah Kamarulzaman Mohamad Saiful Sulaiman Sofiyah Mohd Razali Taharah Edin Nasihah Mokhtar |
Keywords: | Composite Boards;Elaeis guineensis;Microstructure;Physical and Strength Properties | Issue Date: | 2022 | Publisher: | Elsevier | Abstract: | Bioresidues from oil palm fronds are used to maximize the usage of biomass agricultural by-products. Furthermore, it contributes to a greater understanding and knowledge of non-wood materials for future sustainability development (Bledzki and Gassan, 1999). However, non-wood bioresources, particularly oil palm fronds, have yet to contribute to commercialization (Gurmit, 1999). To utilize a considerable volume of agrowaste, novel technologies with higher efficiency and lower environmental implications are urgently needed (Yang et al., 2006). © 2022 Elsevier Inc.
