Abstract:
This study aims to determine the factors affecting entrepreneurial intention among Vietnamese students, particularly in terms of family background and entrepreneurship education service quality. Quantitative data was collected from 422 students of selected universities in the South of Vietnam. It was found that specific dimensions of family background and entrepreneurship education service quality had a positive and statistically significant effect on entrepreneurial intention among Vietnamese students. It was recommended that government and policymakers focus on creating quality academic programmes and enhancing non-academic process to enhance innovative start-up among students. Besides, certain constructs of the family background paradigm could be utilised to develop future entrepreneurs.
