In the era of globalization, a study on Malay folklore has become increasingly popular and gained attention amongst scholars in Malaysia. This is because scholars in the academic world have realized that Malay folklore consists of values of the Malay culture. This study was conducted as many were assumed that folklore is only fiction entertainment and does not possess any lessons that society can learn. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify and analyze the ‘nilai murni’ through the uniqueness of the Kelantanese dialect in the Malay folklore in Bachok, Kelantan. At the same time, this study has documented all the Malay folklore that used a Kelantanese dialect in Bachok, Kelantan. This study has been restricted to 11 Malay folklores derived from the research data in Bachok, Kelantan. In addition, the content analysis approach was chosen as a guideline framework. The community approach was used as deductive reasoning in the discussions. In conclusion, this study proved some of the findings in a detailed study of the uniqueness of the Kelantan dialect contained in Malay folklore in Bachok, Kelantan, which describes the civilization of the past through the practice of ‘nilai murni’.en_US
