dc.description.abstractAstax-Feed is a fish feed formulated with enrichment of Haematococcus pluvialis that aims to increase the aesthetic value of red tilapia fish at the same time increase the health of the fish. Astaxanthin powder is added into the commercial fish feed that are lacking of natural feed colourant aiming to increase the red pigmentation in the red tilapia. Furthermore, astaxanthin is known to has high antioxidant activity and subsequently helping to produce healthy fish. This innovation has high impact to the farmer where healthy and highly pigmented red tilapia is produced. The highly pigmented red tilapia will increase the purchasing power among consumer as the aesthetic of the tilapia will attract the consumer to purchase the tilapia.en_US
