Chapter 9: E-portfolio: an engagement platform for student's life-long learning

Abstract

Nowadays, learners grow up with technology dominating most of their life activities. Smartphones and computers are always with them and internet connections are their heart and soul, inseparable. Following this trend, higher education has changed from conventional to electronic learning (e-learning), modernise and digitalise. Subsequently, an assessment that is part of the education learning system has also evolved to e-assessment and this evolution makes learning activities more exciting and attracts learners to fully engage in particular courses. By practising the education system using the digital platform, learner’s life-long learning skills are continuously applied. The active role of students in the e-assessment in showing their competency acquisition is explored during the completion of tasks given.
