Abstract:
The use of augmented reality in education has been increasing recently in our education system, including the primary level. However, there is still a lack of study and the employment of augmented reality technology in Quranic and Fardhu Ain Class (KAFA) institutions, especially for teaching Arabic subjects. Previous studies showed that the teaching and learning process nowadays is still dependent on the traditional methods, especially verbal methods where it seems not to be very effective (Mayer, 2003). A single method of teaching cannot fit all types of students that have different learning styles (Esa et al., 2007). Ineffective methods used by teachers will obviously lead to a lack of students’ interest. A new integrated approach that covers diversified learning styles is needed to deliver the teaching materials and, at the same time providing students with better approaches to improve their learning experiences.
