Abstract:
Background and Aims: Scavenger receptor class B type 1 (SR-B1) is one of the surface proteins involved in reverse cholesterol transport. It accepts cholesterol from mature high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and transfer it into the liver for further metabolic process with bile acid as a final product. In this study, we used linoleic acid as treatment to increase the transcriptional activity of the SR-B1 promoter and the expression of SR-B1 gene in in-vitro model.
