In the teaching of writing in a second language, one important aspect from the side of the teacher that cannot be ignored is giving feedback to the written text produced by students. Good instructor feedback involves local setting, to be worked out as per the requests of specific conditions. Students also rely on teachers to be given feedback on their writing, and written feedback gives learners a sense of their progress and indicates where they need to focus their attention for improvement. Language teachers also need to be careful in giving written feedback to students’ writing in the hope that their feedback will be meaningful for students and help them to improve their writing skills thus becoming efficient writers.en_US
