dc.description.abstractThis study intends to identify and examine the factors contributing to the effectiveness of smoking ban in Kota Bharu restaurants. A survey was conducted and a total of 299 questionnaires were collected to evaluate the result of this survey. The outcome of this survey indicates that there is an association between contributing factors and the effectiveness of smoking ban in Kota Bharu restaurants. Parallel to the current scenario of smoking ban in all restaurants, pubs, bar and eateries, this research intends to find out the relationship of these factors to effectiveness of smoking ban and how these factors influence the effectiveness of smoking ban in Kota Bharu restaurants. This research revealed that more studies and research should be conducted to understand the factors. Apart from health factor, the environment and governmental laws also play a vital role in the effectiveness of smoking ban in restaurants.en_US
